If you are a registered dietitian or a dietetic technician, registered, simply follow the instructions to earn one CPE credit hour following your successful completion of the CPE questions.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of the CPE program, the learner should:
1. Understand consumers’ current knowledge, attitudes, and/or behaviors on:
- Diet
- Health
- Weight
- Physical activity
- Dietary fats, carbohydrates and sugars, caffeine, functional foods
- Food safety
- Nutrition information sources
2. Name at least three “diet disconnects” illustrating gaps in consumer knowledge and implementation of diet and health-related behaviors.
3. Compare and contrast changes in consumer perceptions regarding key health issues from 2006 to present.
4. Identify opportunities for applying consumer research to improve dietary guidance communications to enhance public health.
